AdvPBL is an international, online, peer-reviewed, open-access journal that provides a platform for scientific publications from all areas of pharmaceutical and biomedical sciences. The journal maintains a rigorous peer review and also ensures the rapid publication of high-quality articles. The following types of submissions are considered by the editors: original research articles, review articles, letters to the editors, case studies, and short communications.

Publication Frequency

Advanced Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Letters publishes articles on a continuous basis. Manuscripts are published online individually as soon as they are ready for publication, without waiting for the completion of an issue. One issue is published annually, with articles added continuously throughout the year.

Editorial and Publication Timelines

Advanced Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Letters (AdvPBL) is committed to providing authors with an efficient, transparent, and timely editorial and publication process. The timelines below represent the journal’s typical processing times and are provided to help authors anticipate the various stages of manuscript processing. Actual timelines may vary depending on manuscript quality and complexity, editorial workload, reviewer availability, the extent of revisions required, and the promptness of author responses.

  • Initial Editorial Assessment/First Decision: Approximately 5 days after submission. At this stage, manuscripts are assessed for suitability, scope, basic quality, and compliance with the journal’s submission requirements. If a manuscript is considered unsuitable for further consideration or peer review, the author will be notified accordingly. Manuscripts that pass the initial assessment and are sent for peer review will be indicated as “Review” in the author’s submission dashboard.
  • Peer Review and Review Feedback: Approximately 3 weeks from the commencement of the peer-review process. This period may be extended where additional time is required to secure appropriate reviewers or complete the review process.
  • Author Revision Period: Authors are generally expected to submit a revised manuscript within the period specified in the editorial decision, normally within 1 week. Authors requiring additional time should contact the Editorial Office before the revision deadline.
  • Editorial Decision after Revision: Approximately 3–7 days after receipt of a revised manuscript, depending on the extent of the revisions and whether the manuscript requires further peer review.
  • Time from Acceptance to Publication: Approximately 5 days after final acceptance, provided that all required production materials, author corrections, and other publication requirements have been satisfactorily completed.
  • Online Publication: Articles are published online as soon as the editorial, production, proofreading, and final publication processes have been completed.

These timelines are indicative averages and should not be regarded as guaranteed deadlines. Although the journal endeavours to process manuscripts promptly, unforeseen delays may arise from reviewer availability, the need to identify additional reviewers, manuscript complexity, substantial revisions, author response times, or technical and production requirements.

Authors are encouraged to log in to the journal’s online submission platform regularly to monitor the status and progress of their manuscripts and to respond promptly to any editorial, review, or production requests.
