Peer Review Policy
Advanced Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Letters (AdvPBL) is committed to maintaining high standards of scholarly publishing through rigorous, fair, timely, and constructive peer review following internationally accepted principles of scholarly peer review and publication ethics.
All submitted articles are subject to initial assessment by an editor, who will decide whether they are suitable for peer review, considering such issues as scope, language, and plagiarism checks. Submissions that do not meet the basic requirements at this stage are desk-rejected, while submissions felt to be suitable for consideration will be sent for peer review by at least two independent experts. The editors take decision to accept, reject considering the comments and recommendations of the independent reviewers. Reviewers play an essential role in ensuring the scientific quality, integrity, originality, and relevance of manuscripts submitted to the journal.
AdvPBL operates a double-blind (double anonymous) peer review system in which the identities of both authors and reviewers are concealed throughout the review process.
Reviewers assess manuscripts based on:
- originality and scientific merit,
- methodological soundness,
- clarity and organization,
- ethical compliance,
- and relevance to pharmaceutical and biomedical sciences.
Editorial decisions may include:
- acceptance,
- minor revision,
- major revision,
- resubmission for review,
- or rejection.
The Editor-in-Chief and Editorial Board reserve the right to make the final decision regarding publication.
